Have you made your New Year’s resolution yet?  What will it be this time — lose weight, exercise more, break a bad habit???  We all mean to keep the resolution, right?  How often do we make these promises to ourselves, only to break them by the middle of February, then beat ourselves up for it?  Let’s do something different in 2011…..let’s create a Sankalpa.

A Sankalpa is a short, positive and sincere statement of intent that expresses what we want to achieve.  A Sankalpa focuses our energy and prevents distraction and confusion.  Your Sankalpa is your intention…similar to the intentions we set at the beginning of our classes.

Before you arrive at this Master Class, think long and hard about the positive change you would like to create in 2011, and beyond.  Create a Sankalpa, write it down on a piece of paper, and bring it with you.

We will devote 2 1/2 hours to our Sankalpa.  We will breathe it in, breathe it out, incorporate it into our movement, and make it the focus of our meditation.  By the end of practice, there will be no question, fear or doubt about making your Sankalpa your reality for 2011 and beyond!

$25/person:  Payment due upon arrival

  1. Thank you for the information regarding Sankalpa. How did you know about those past resolutions? Well I have made my Sankalpa (intention) & I know that I will keep this one because I will be focusing on it in an entirely different way.

    For me it is Building a business out of “playing with yarn”.
