Today is the day myself and 25 others have committed to practice for 30 consecutive days. The workshop doesn’t start for another couple hours, but I’m already breathing and moving. Rather than having expectations for the next 30 days, I’m hopeful to find some peace, and clarity, and growth. Rather than complain about how my neck and back ache from the fitful night’s sleep, I’m happy to breathe some space in between each vertebra, happy to feel my neck soften with each exhale. Rather than criticize how puffy my eyes are this morning, I’m relieved to have experienced some emotional release. Rather than let my mind race and re-trace all I should do (or should have done), I’ll sit with a mantra – “I let go of all expectations.”
May the power of this 30-day practice bring peace, clarity and growth. May we all discover our true selves. May we rise above expectations, and find that we have an inner warrior who is always there for us. May we come together as a community and support each other over these 30 days.
