DAY 11: NON-ATTACHMENT

There are so many things in this life that we become attached to.  Trends, TV shows, food, behaviors…the list goes on and on…  This morning my attachment was THE BED. 

I always feel better, physically and emotionally, after I practice.  But when the alarm went off at 6:00 a.m., there were some tough decisions to be made!  Do I lay here, snuggled up with the one I love, listening to the rain fall, until it’s time to go to class?  It took two rounds of the snooze button, but I made it to the mat.  And, as always, I’m happy I did. 

I’m learning so much about myself this month.  Every once in a while, let go of something you’re attached to – those things that bring brief pleasure.  Take yourself to something that lasts a lifetime.

Please take a moment today for remembrance.  Ask for continued healing for those who suffer….ask for peace.
