DAY 18: LATE-NIGHT MEDITATION

It’s a beautiful, unique experience to practice yoga and/or meditation before bedtime.  Sitting down, lighting candles and spending some time alone with your thoughts before you call it a night can help you fall asleep faster, give you a more restful sleep, and allows you to wake feeling lighter and calmer.

In addition to asana and meditation, I’ve been spending time each day reading portions of the Yoga Sutras.  This is the foundation, the background, the roots of the practice.  If you don’t have the book and are interested in learning more about everything Yoga has to offer, I highly recommend it.
