It’s time to make your New Year’s resolution – again…
What will it be this year — lose weight, exercise more, quit a bad habit??? How often do we make these promises to ourselves, break them by February, then beat ourselves up for it?
Let’s do something different in 2020…let’s create a Sankalpa.
Sankalpa: “Will; purpose; determination. A solemn vow or declaration of purpose to perform any ritual observance.”
Sankalpa focuses our energy on a positive outcome, the benefits we gain vs. what we want to lose or have to give up.
Before you arrive at this Workshop, think about the positive change you would like to create in 2020, and beyond. We’ll discuss it together, choose one word that best describes our Sankalpa, then move forward with our practice.
We’ll breathe it in, breathe it out, incorporate it into our movement, and make it the focus of our meditation. We will also discuss the obstacles we may face when incorporating our Sankalpa into our everyday lives.
**Please bring: Yoga mat and any props you use for your practice. Pen and paper, or journal, will be helpful, too.**
BYOM – Bring Your Own Mug – I’ll provide the Tea
